my uni friend got married yesterday at an outdoor ceremony held in one of the hotels in sentosa… when i spoke to him last weekend, i asked him to start praying that there won’t be rain on the actual day itself… and the whole of last week was just incessant rain almost every other day… i was quite concerned that it would still be pouring by the time saturday came around…

friday was the worse of the downpour… it rained the entire day (even overnight thurs) so i was pretty hopeful that saturday there won’t be rain… saw my friend on msn that same night and i told him that… he juz said that he’ll leave it all to God…

saturday came round and the day started off cloudy… but it wasn’t raining… then the clouds began to clear and you could see a bit of the sky… and this weather lasted till the wedding was over! ahhaah… wat was most amazing was that it rained in the east side… but it didn’t rain on my end of the island… only to rain in the night (after the wedding banquet)…

this goes to show that if you pray hard enough… your wishes/dreams will come true somehow or another… i believe that if certain dreams or wishes didn’t happen… it just means that it was not meant to be… perhaps God has some other plans for you… (but this does not mean you don’t need to work hard for it okay… need to put in effort okay…)

but i must say that yesterday’s holy matrimony service felt a tad long coz they had both english and chinese… which made a 20min talk feel like 2 hours… and you could see the poor guy doing the chinese translation “sweating” as he somewhat struggled to find words to suit what the church minister was saying… and because of this, the flow and energy of the service was somewhat more tedious that usual… oh well.. hehehe

*just to clarify… i’m not a Christian… i just believe in God and his angels… =) occasionally i get a bit skeptical… but that could be due to my family religion upbringing… too many contradictions happening in my head… meh*

in any case… my uni friend is now a very happy man… and i wish him all the best!
