beautiful skies

… and headed for the beach… more specifically BINTAN!! yup… took off last weekend starting friday nite and stayed till sunday evening… it was a lonnnnnnnngggg awaited break frm singapore (batam was in august!) and it indeed recharged me very much… so much so that i was totally “nua-ed” thru the entire week… ahahah

went wif a few of my colleagues and friends as well as babe (who celebrated his bday over at the resort) and stayed in one of the big villas at the bintan lagoon resort… wif a private pool… bbq pit and A BUGGY!! *woot!* had much fun driving around in the buggy though it could not go as fast as i wanted to… ahahha

though it rained on the first day (rendering the trip frm SG to Bintan super choppy…) and we had to attempt to cover the bbq pit wif an umbrella… the weather turned super duper good over the next two days… sunny skies, warm but not intensely hot weather (helped by the sea breeze)… my friends nua-ed whenever possible and babe and i had fun at our first archery attempt… i ended up hitting the bulls eye~!! =D

dinner on the second nite was this fantastic salmon dish made by babe… wif a pasta side… super yumz and cooked over the bbq fire… ahhhh…

last day at bintan was spent having breakfast at the main resort… babe and i walked there coz my friend n gf drove the buggy and it was great to walk in real soft sand of the beach… the waves splashing and the sun not being too hot as well… after breakfast we walked around the beach side area before returning back to the villa to pack up…

shopping-wise.. i got another polo tee (two for 50% so my friend got one and i got one too) and a “bintan” tee as well… went to this factory outlet (the “real” bandung factory outlet) at the ferry terminal and got a stripey PJ bottom… nothing much to buy coz we din go to the village at tanjung pinang…

funny tale: we were on this rocky outcrop taking photos (the one above was frm there) and decided to attempt to walk back to the beach which was like a good five to eight metres away (very short distance lah)… but there was a small river/stream that we had to walk thru… so he got a stick and started to poke into the sand to check the depth…

i was concerned at the middle point where the water seemed to be dark green.. so we were up to our knees in water and he poked that area and the stick went almost all the way in!! ahahhah we looked at each other and decided that taking the long (rocky) way back was much safer (and drier) so that was wat we ended up doing… but it was a totally fun experience esp when we saw the stick went in.. ahhaha

i am so going on another holiday again!!!
