went to the first Singapore Toy and Comic Convention over the weekend. all i can say is that i managed to control my spending… hehehehe and managed to get my dreams of meeting up with my fav designer fufilled!! To the MAX!! LOL… don’t think i’ll ever forget this experience ever… =D

where we have santas, (fake) snow and loads of presents… i didn’t get everyone a present this year (not that i do…) coz i wasn’t really in the mood nor was i very interested in participating in the crazy gift-buying downtown… so i only gave selected people pressies instead… (not even a card!! gosh…)

i did get a few presents though… from my friends/colleagues (they end up being friends coz u see them so often!) and a few other surprises yesterday namely:

• manekineko cat and pouch (wrapped in see-thru paper.. hahaha)
• my first tokidoki tee!! (featured above – very exciting!)
• threadless tees FINALLY arrived… (yeah yeah presents for myself.. lol)
• usb-powered aroma thingy (missing out on an xbox yet again.. -_-”)
• candy cane and candy santa

was part of the (arrowed) xmas party committee so spent the good… er.. half of the day yesterday running around getting my colleagues to play games like ‘win, lose or draw’, ‘dog and bone’, ‘carnival’ on the wii, musical chairs and ‘deal or no deal’… hahaha… i was actually thinking people might not be interested in the games.. but to my surprise they participate with pretty much gusto… and loads of laughs went around… but there was no alcohol (sad)

by the time the party sorta ended… i was BUSHED… even though i didn’t play any games… -_-” ahahah must be all the adrenalin pumping eh… anyway its a slow and steady day today… probably be at home the whole day… relaxing a bit..

at this moment i’m thinking of changing the blog’s look again coz if you scroll down… u’ll see that i have a LONG list of links which could potentially get longer… geez…

this week’s been a bit low-key compared to the previous week… but here’s what i did…

(somewhat) finished up my tokidoki cactus collection with the addition of bastardino (green) and polpettina (pink)… polpettina is the pet doggie of my tokidoki sabochan character… now i need to look for the green cactus girl!! >_<

my friend had her birthday party yesterday at her home… it was fairy themed and i can tell u its darn hard to find costumes or stuff related to fairies without feeling like a 3 year old kid… i ended up buying wands and fluff frm spotlight and gluing them together (wif the help of babe) to make it look more ‘adult-like’…

dinner at her place was just filled wif alot of pink (as seen in the photos…) but it was a great dinner… many compliments to her family for that… it was the kind of party you wished you had organized urself… of course it didn’t hurt that her place was pretty big so had room to do a proper sit-down western dinner kinda thing…

There was another one called Snackers, which is this bigger white rabbit that’s carrying a carrot. (with a little smile and small eyes) XD;; Big sis said that it looks…dumb.

it was almost exactly as she said… only that she wanted to buy snackers and i grabbed hopson and proceeded to do the soulful eyes treatment… lol…

wat did you do in this long weekend? did you go to church? or did you stay at home and watched tv… perhaps had a family gathering?

me? i stayed home and watched tv for most of the mornings and went out in the afternoon… having a long weekend is so enjoyable… u have an additional day to do watever you wan to.. haha…

in any case yesterday was a pretty enjoyable day… met up wif babe in the afternoon and found that the threadless tees that we ordered came in… the material for the girls’ tees were much better (softer) than the guys’ but all in all we absolutely lurvvve the designs (that’s why we got them in the first place!) especially this one called bad teddy… ahhahaha made me very very amused indeed…

another of my tees which is like a star-lit sky, is printed out frm glow-in-the-dark ink!! hahaha we didn’t realise that it was until we switched off the lights in the room going out… righteoussss… and i’ll tell u abt the third tee another time… its called “procrastinators“… these tees were like frm the threadless 10 dollar tee sale… so make sure u grab one when it comes round…

90-min yoga lesson later… we went to ikea for dinner… and grabbed a few items as well… got a big pillow wif a lovely patterned pillowcase in turquoise and green/yellow patterns… he got a dimmer switch for his kartel lamp and a lint roller… hahaha…

sunday? hrmm CSI and more CSI… think abt afternoon later…

i just got them today~!

apparently it’s coming out in time for valentine’s day…. (which could be quite possible coz juz need to repackage the two already produced toys… hee hee…) be patient!! >_<

after a week of sitting in the box.. sabochan graciously posed for a few photos which you can view on my flickr set… =) she’s got such an attitude to her! very different from mozzarella… hehehe… ‘watcha lookin’ at dude?!’

i went to the gym on saturday intending to go for bodyjam and den yoga classes only to find out that they were having special classes on that day so end up doing half of the bodyjam class and bodybalance class instead of yoga… bodyjam was quite fun… will try to go for that the next time i go down on saturday… yoga is of course a staple.. hee

bought a few lingerie items over the weekend… did some clearing up of the computer table… watched a bit of tv… it was a quiet weekend… babe’s in reservist now so spent the weekend wif him at vivocity on sunday…

wat a way to start off the new year… with loads of sales, promotions happening in singapore (POST XMAS SALE! NEW YEAR SALE!!) its kinda hard not to walk away without buying anything…

and so i did… mostly under the umbrella of ‘it’s all for chinese new year!’ hahaha… went to a few places but pull and bear was THE place for me over the weekend coz i got a pair of jeans, a top and a jacket from there… zara wasn’t that good this time round.. their collection on sale is from autumn winter which isn’t very ‘buy-able’… but i managed to get a fantastic bargain when i went to the liat tower’s branch… a pair of indian-ish slippers for $15!! yes!! hahahaha

a new addition to my tokidoki collection… introducing sabochan frm his catus friends collection… managed to find her at the wheelock place toyshop… and SANDy as well.. but decided against buying two and bought sabochan instead… i like her ‘attitude’ look… ;) will post more images of her out of the box by next week.

what a big hole all these has burnt into my pocket!! =P
