i am still figuring this wordpress thing out… having to stare at CSS scripts and trying to (feebly) recall my uni days… hahaha but i’m very pleased with this current template (called Coffee Cup) that i actually customised slightly… =D

also trying to update my portfolio before posting it up to the main site as well… ahhaha yeah i’ve finally bought my own domain and rented some web hosting online too… i spent like one week figuring out wat domain name i should have… (unfortunately yng.com, illusion.com and many others which i considered are taken)… and then which hosting provider i shld be going with… before deciding to just TAKE THE PLUNGE ah and settling down… hehehe feels like i’ve bought my first home or car or something…
den there was wordpress… ahhaha not content with blogspot… i must have itchy fingers and update my blog to wordpress… which is more advanced compared to the user-friendliness of blogger… hee i must say wordpress is also user-friendly just that i’m not used to the whole thingy yet… still learning… ahahha…

first post on wordpress… i’m still figuring out how to work everything… ahhaha

i bot a book over the weekend (esp good wif the kino 20% disc for members) called ‘How to be a graphic designer without losing your soul’ and its currently like my bible… why? it answers (almost) all the questions in my head about how to get about being a designer in this world… how to do up portfolios.. how to get business.. how to set up your own business.. watever you can think of in design.. the book somehow has some answers to it…

and its pretty helpful insight as well… comes at a time where i’m questioning whether i’m (yup) losing my soul designing (if you can consider producing heartless work design)… its been a good read while sitting on the mrt.. its not a pictorial book.. its wordy and has interviews wif a few famous designers… and i like it… go read it if you are a designer… =) it’ll prob be good for your soul.. ahahhaha

all train rides should come with lovely pillows…
1. rushing down to the bus stop only to realise that i’ve missed the bus…

2. getting to the mrt station only to have TWO consecutive trains not allowing boarding passengers coz it’s off-peak hours… tmd.. they shld extend the hours till 10am what.. end at 9am.. tsk…

3. having REPEATED announcements of ‘PLEASE STAND BEHIND YELLOW LINE’ in FOUR languages, ‘THE TRAIN AT PLATFORM A/B/C/D IS NOT FOR BOARDING’ even after the train has arrived and left…

4. seeing this lady walking in front of me with her velour trackies that has ‘JUICY’ written over the butt area WHEN HERS ISN’T!!! -_-”" (i admit.. i’m a butt ger okay… i check out people’s butts…)
