came home late last night and saw this on one of the many noticeboards around the void deck which i read wif interest while waiting for the lift…

almost took ten steps backwards when i finished it… in case you can’t read the words, here’s what it said:

“… To protect yourself, your family and your neighbour from any harm, please be vigilant. Do not wear too much Jewellery[sic], do not carry too much money with you And[sic] do walk alone at lonely and dark place…”

seriously din know whether to laugh like really loudly (which would mean tt i might scare my neighbours) or to like look in shock at the error… i’m sure they printed more than one notice… didn’t anyone read it before they pasted it up on the boards??? this is one of those typical ‘english’ mistakes that you see around the place… however it isn’t too good when its frm the police telling you to ‘walk alone in lonely and dark place’… so that the robbers can’t see u therefore can’t rob u???

one of those days where u’re shopping in your neighbourhood (okay this was near my office) supermarket when you discover something like this!

i was seriously taken aback when i saw the display… wonder if it made the products last longer… more fresh or simply, if it made them nicer to the touch….

hvn’t written in this blog for a while…. dunno juz the tot of logging on to blogger and typing out wat i think… or perhaps its juz that in my current (new) job, its been like go office log on to comp and work… ahhahahaha…

i’ve been collecting a few interesting images frm my everyday observations but yes once again.. hvnt been too bothered to upload it to flickr.. ahahha me bad.. very bad…

been rushing out stuff for a huge event happening this weekend at the padang (if u know wat it is.. please do go and enjoy!) =_= tired.. but i hope everything will turn out well… i guess it will and have to.. ahhaha wun know till tomolo… my colleague has spent countless hours/days/weeks planning this and i’m really impressed… can’t seem to think how she is able to handle a million and one things that’s happening at the same time… very good… =D

in other news… i got a traffic summons… grrrr.. for illegal parking on double yellow line at my friend’s place… grrr… his place is private estate (terrace housing) and two lanes of parked cars (some on plain roads coz it wasn’t painted on coz when they were doin painting a car parked there… see how dumb) which kinda like forced me to park next to his house which had double yellow lines… sigh… situation a bit messy i know…

so i wrote in and my friend wrote in a supporting letter to the traffic police to ask them to review the situation and not fine me 70 bucks.. yah… =P i dun wanna pay money… now juz waiting for d final decision whether i need to pay or not… =P

tired.. need more sleep.. ahahha

lazy ass me… never blogged for so long… hehehehe… however i must put this particular photo up… it was the mid-autumn festival here two weekends ago and besides the mooncakes (ngee ann city is THE place for that…) kids get to play wif lanterns… battery operated ones or the simple “light a candle and hope ur lantern dun burn” kind…

so i was juz shopping around my place when i chanced upon this lantern which defies any description… wonder which parent would buy it for their children! -_-” i almost collapsed frm trying not to laugh out loud when i saw it… who is the designer har? i know that the festival encourages family reunion.. but this is juz too overt!

this has been something i’ve wanted to blog about for a while… but lazy lah.. ahhaha

every morning i would take the bus to the interchange to wait for my (ex)company transport… and every morning i would see various degrees of this:

sometimes its pretty bad.. this was juz one of the better days i guess… styrofoam cups… containers… plastic bags.. everywhere u turn ur eyes.. u could see litter on the ground… people takeaway their breakfast to eat the the side of the mrt station and becoz there isn’t any dustbins anywhere near the vicinity of the stations (well either that or the pple din bother looking) the rubbish gets left there…

so at the end of the morning rush hour… its the cleaners that go around and tidy up the place…

i’m thinking the cause of the litter is the lack of dustbins in the area.. coz i’ve seen dustbins that are packed full… and sometimes it can get irritating when u’ve a piece of litter in ur hand and u juz can’t find dustbins!!! grrrr… i rem so many times where i would be at city hall.. grabbin a snack.. walking towards the mrt.. and by the time i reach the station… i realised tt there are no dustbins and i either have to walk back up to the shopping centre.. or hold the rubbish till i reach my destination… -_-”

so let us applaud the cleaners that make singapore the clean and green city she is… =P
