a cappucino with a chocolate melting moment please…
was checking my gmail when i saw this link on the google adsense… decided to check it out and wow… beautiful… so i have to share it here… since i already have a post on ‘where to stay in rome’ to combine all the places i stumble upon… =)
everyone should be familiar with this song… why i posted this up here is because the version that my german friend sent me actually has a translation into italian in the youtube description! =D all these while i’ve been translating songs from italian to english and now i can check out a song that’s been translated the other way around… fantastico!!
especially like this bit: “i sogni che hai osato fare, oh perche, perche non posso io?” (And the dreams that you dare to, oh why, why can’t I?)
Somewhere Over the Rainbow
Italiano (translated by pacuvio86)
Da qualche parte sopra l’arcobaleno
proprio lassù,
ci sono i sogni che hai fatto
una volta durante la ninna nanna
Da qualche parte sopra l’arcobaleno
volano uccelli blu
e i sogni che hai fatto,
i sogni diventano davvero realtà
e penso tra me e me
“che mondo meraviglioso!”
Beh vedo cieli blu e nuvole bianche
e la luminosità del giorno
mi piace il buio e penso tra me e me
“che mondo meraviglioso!”
I colori dell’arcobaleno così belli nel cielo
sono anche sui visi delle persone che passano
vedo degli amici che salutano
dicono “come stai?”
in realtà stanno dicendo “ti voglio bene”
ascolto i pianti dei bambini
e li vedo crescere
impareranno molto di più
di quello che sapremo
e penso tra me e me
“che mondo meraviglioso!”
un giorno esprimerò un desiderio su una stella cadente
mi sveglierò quando le nuvole saranno lontane dietro di me
dove i problemi si fondono come gocce di limone
lassù in alto, sulle cime dei camini
è proprio lì che mi troverai
Da qualche parte sopra l’arcobaleno
ci sono i sogni che hai osato fare,
oh perchè, perchè non posso io?
in the midst of my research/surfing… i found this site (tntonline.co.uk – Oktoberfest) that has an A-Z guide to oktoberfest which had me in stitches and at the same time gave me an idea of what really to expect when i’m there next year (which according to them will be fun, nonsensical and definitely enjoyable…)
things i didn’t know: apparently the priviledge of being one of the beer girls at the festival can be passed down from mother to daughter… righteous!!
i am doing some basic research on how to get to italy from munich (and vice versa) coz i reckoned it’s going to be expensive if i were to fly to munich and then depart from italia at the end of my holiday next year… of course at this moment everything is more or less a semi-not-confirmed stage but i am just curious as to how much it would be…
thanks to google (my best friend…) i found this site (rail europe.sg) where you can check railway ticket prices – yes i’m considering taking the train as well as going by air – and its definitely cheaper for me to travel from milan to munich and vice versa than from rome coz milan is nearer….
however a quick check on air ticket prices from singapore to milan vs singapore to rome also confirms this… which i’m like ‘hrm…’ coz i’m not too sure if i wanna go milan or not (sounds like blasphemy to me… ahhaha) i wan my passport to be chopped with a roma stamp! (but it seems like they don’t do that…?)

stumbled upon this quote… it rings so true to me coz yes i think i’m a little weird and i’m looking for that other weird person to fall in ‘mutual weirdness’.. think that really describes love to a T!! =D
“We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.”
